Chances are it's structurally sound, it just needs a little makeover. Deck Restore™ is a durable coating that's formulated to resurface most exterior wooden and composite deck surfaces. It's even great for concrete surfaces such as patios, steps, walkways and more.
Deck Restore is 10 times thicker than paint or stain and it's more elastic so it expands and contracts with the weather to prevent cracks as well as filling in current cracks up to a 1/4 inch. With Deck Restore you don't have to worry about those sneaky splinters you had before, you won't have to worry about those anymore. Deck Restore locks them down.
Deck Restore's textured surface provides excellent slip resistance, and is available in 36 colors so you can be sure to get a color that matches your decor. The folks in the Lowe's paint department will happily help you customize your tint.
So here's how it works. First, clean your deck using Restore Deck & Concrete Cleaner and a scrub brush. Allow the surface to thoroughly dry. Use Restore Solid Acrylic Stain on vertical surfaces such as railings, balusters, fences. This stain is available in all the same colors as Deck Restore. Next apply Deck Restore. For cracks larger than ¼ inch, fill with Restore Crack Filler.
After cleaning and prepping your deck, you'll use a Restore Roller to apply the product. Apply by slowly rolling only in one direction. It only takes two coats to achieve a beautiful finished look. Deck Restore protects your deck from moisture and sun damage, and will last up to 10 years, meaning less recoating.
To maintain it, just sweep, hose, and maybe even light pressure washing is all it takes.
