Cat Scratch Fever
Alright so on Sunday night We had an Epic night. I was laying on the couch Reading a Book, We had the window open cause it was so hot. And we had pushed it all the way up So we could get more air circulating through. So Emma's Decides she wants to sit on the window sill and look out So shes there for the first hour or so she gets down a couple of times. And comes back. And somehow the window got loose and fell trapping her foot beneath it. And this is a heavy window. It probably weighs 20 lbs compared to emma's 5-10 lbs. Poor baby :( So here she is hissing and spitting and crying and im like what the heck? And I grab ahold of her to see whats going on. And try and help her and I get bitten and scratched. She proabably Bit me and Scratched me twenty times. I could not move my right hand at all. So I cleaned myself off since i was dripping blood. We did not have hydrogen proxide so i used rubbing alchol OUCH! My middle finger and my thumb got the worst. My middle finger swelled up ten times it side. could not bend or move it. And the pain was unbearable. We got Emmas cleaned up. Got Chance cleaned up Poor dog was terrified of the cat he came over to investigate and she ended up getting him in the corner of the eye and a few scratches on his nose. He ran yelped and ran into the back room and stayed there. Had to coax him out an hour later. Haha But hes forgiven her and they are back to playing with each other. The vet said her foot is not broken
Thats good. So Tuesday i started getting blisters around the cuts on my middle finger which is the first sign of Cat scratch Fever. Yikes! Never had it before. So I go to the Insta Care. The doctor comes in takes one look at my hand and says we need to start you on some Antibiodics. so they prescribe me some Amoxycillin. I mean even on tuesday The pain was worse then sunday night. Cause of the infection. So I get my prescription. And ive been on it since. The swelling has decreased. And the Infection is fading away slowly. The infection is mostly in my Middle finger and my thumb. And I use my right hand for every thing :( so ive been having to use my left hand. Luckily today. I have more momentum in my right hand. But it still kills.
But yeah in the end. The pets are fine. And im the one that ended up on a Medication :S But at least im getting better. And Emma's is staying away from the evil window.
